● Position - Finance Officer

As finance officer, Lavender oversees financial planning and budgeting and ensures transparent and accountable management of funds.


Lavender is a graduate of BA economics and sociology currently practicing as a paralegal and a volunteer TOT in digital security, a human rights defender affiliated with the social justice movement working group to achieve organic justice within her community through community sensitization/awareness, advocacy, campaigns, political/civic education, and public participation amongst different groups in the community. She convenes the Wuoth Social Justice Center, a community-based organization in Suna West sub-county, Migori County, that tends to face several injustices in its spheres. Through her organic organizing and academic training, Lavender has gained skills and knowledge that are key in community organizing with a commitment to achieving the SDGs and social development.


Lavender serves as the finance person in the Women in Justice Center Western Chapter Committee (WIJC), where she oversees all the financial planning and budgeting, ensuring transparency and accountability in finance management.
